The Ratcatcher has been designed to be an ultra lightweight and fast handling rifle, the rifle itself is also short making it brilliantly suited for barn work and for tighter areas where a larger rifle would become a burden. 

The bolt action mechanism is incredibly easy to operate and again helps in tight quarters where breaking a barrel on a spring powered rifle would be too cumbersome. 

The Ratcatcher comes with a fast action single stage trigger allowing the shooter to quickly get that shot off and to aid with accuracy the little carbine comes with a fibre optic foresight. The 2250 also comes with a 4x20 scope which keeps the weight down and also allows the shooter to take more accurate shots at longer ranges.

                                 CROSMAN 2250XL RATCATCHER
The XL version of the 2250, the 2250XL comes with a longer barrel giving the rifle greater efficiency and power along with a threaded barrel for the attachment of a silencer. 

The scope has already been upgraded to a 4x32 for a wider field of view and better light acquisition.

If you'd like a massively adaptable, higher powered, completely recoilless rifle for rat control it doesn't get any better than the 2250XL.
